Launching executables from labview

I am using labview to control a basic data farm involved with simulations
where different PC's will be running different code.

Is it possible to launch pre-compiled code from within labview? if so how

You can use System Exec.vi to launch other applications. In LV 6.0, its
located under Functions > Communication.
