Launch error with "lvinit.cpp"

I've worked with Labview 8.0.1.

When I launched Labview, I've got the following error : "Fatal internal error: lvinit.cpp, line 1427".

Any help?

Hello Fred91,

Errors related to lvinit.cpp are due to administrator rights / user rights matters.

Please check that you installed LabVIEW on admin privileges and that users are allowed to read/write on the file used by LabVIEW.

actually I've a similar problem after I decide to upgrade the kernel.
I tried to get rid of the message by reinstalling LabView but the error is still there.

Fatal Internal Error : "lvinit.cpp", line 1553
LabVIEW version 8.2.1

this happens with bot root and normal user

Which are the files to check for the right permissions?

thanks in advance,

G.

Hello,

You're using linux right ? Which distribution are you using ? This error doesn't appear in our database, this may mean that your distribution isn't supported, in this case we won't be able to help you much... just try to update the kernel to the latest version (if it's not already done) and if it doesn't work try a mass compile (be carreful it might last 6 hours). To see which distributions are supported, refer to this link.

Best regards
