Labviewv.lib error when using Labview 21 runtime compiled .exe

Hi, recently had the need to add a Labview 21 exe to some old code (Labview7.1) for some functionality

So had to obviously install the Labview 21 Runtime engine which sits along side the existing 7.1 engine on the PC.

When running tests with DAQmx an error box appears:

Has anyone seen this before? It's a new one on me.

In case anyone encounters this issue......

It seems the error can be cleared by downgrading DAQmx from V18 (latest driver that supports current PCI H/W) to a lower version (8.8 in this case).

Sneaky boys and gals at NI! Using internally non-public LabVIEW manager interfaces and forgetting to tell the LabVIEW folks that this export is not anymore considered to be private since it is being accessed by software other than LabVIEW itself. Some LabVIEW developer comes around determining that this export is actually not needed anymore by anything and since it never was documented must be safe to be removed from the exported function table and BAM!
