Labview with data acq. h/w to replace old X-Y recorders

I am looking for a solution to be able to used LabView as a measurement tool to use with data acquisition h/w to replace old Western Graphtec X-Y plotters.  Be able to store the results of each test for the data base for archival purposes and create charts in the old X-Y format.

There's a developer zone article that goes through the different types of plots, including the X-Y Graph.  Is this the kind of graph format you're looking for?
