Labview and commerial analog acquisition devices

dear sirs,
i'd like to acquire an analog image and then analyse it using labview.
Because the lack of money, typical of the italian university, i'm
thinking to use a commercial analog interface, like the pinnacle dc10+
or the same by terratec, just i dont know if then i can pilote this
device directly from labview (we have the license of labview 7)
There is here someone who can tell me if its possible to do this
thing?
or if there is however a cheap device that i can use for this goal?
thank you very much for the attention and for the answers

I really like the Electrim cameras (http://www.electrim.com/). They're
inexpensive, high quality
digital cameras that come with LabVIEW
libraries. I used one about 3 years ago for a fluorescence detection
system and I was very satisfied. I think the model was EDC-1000N and it
was about 800usd for the whole package. BTW, these are scientific grade
with noise of only 15 electrons/pixel and run at approx 30 frames/sec.

Hi Marco,
It looks like Pinnacle dc10 support WDM drivers. You can download the
IVision LabVIEW toolkit to try out your card. Here is the link

hey guys,

I am using EDC1000N from electrim and really like it so far.

I just have this problem where I cant save the image that i see in NVESA.  Can anybody give me guidance in how to save the image using the provided software.

You just posted the same offtopic question twice in somebody else's thread. This is called thead hijacking.
(see also http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=179738#M179738)

Your chances for success would be much better if you would start a new thread with a descriptive title related to your problem. Good luck! 🙂

Your best solution for getting an answer to this question would be the provider of the drivers you are using. Since this is not a National Instruments product, we are very limited in what we can support from other vendors. Thanks!
