Labview Installation Freezing during Offline Manual

I am currently trying to install Labview 2025 Q1 on my company's workstation and keep getting hung up during a portion of the installation pertaining to the Offline Manual:

Looking around, I found the thread (https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/installing-problem/td-p/4290941) that closely pertained to my issue, but following the instructions on ending the task leads me to the following message every time:

Any help would be really appreciated!

Any success on this one? Having the exact same issue. Have tried the 'solution' in the link, tried on- and off-line installs. Same issue.

I had same issue and that "End Task" did not help as you mentioned. I solved that by going to windows Apps, first uninstalling the package manager and then uninstall NI software. Thereafter, started a new setup and using the task-manager "End Task" on the offline help worked fine.

I got past this by opening a command prompt in admin mode and then run "taskkill /f /im niofflinehelpviewer.exe"

the odd part is I get a confusing message at the end

Yup, this worked for me, thanks! Had the extact same issue and spet 2,5 days on reinstalling. Had to end the task about five times tho, since I guess the OFFLINE MANUAL has 5 different components, all of which hang the installer. Sometimes the task would show up in the task manager and sometimes I had to use cmd.

I got this error when killing from the task mgr.  Using command prompt does not have this issue.

NI requests your log files to help diagnose the issue with the offline help viewer installation. They are located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ni-offline-help-viewer\logs

We are currently tracking this issue with Bug 2090695.

Is there a way for us to track bug 2090695? This issue has been plaguing us for a while and would like to know when its resolved. Thanks.

We're now tracking this with Bug 3140514.

The problem seems to be with the offline.sqlite file, and a possible workaround is to delete it before running the installer. The file is located in C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\Offline Help Viewer\database-orm

We don't currently have a way to share the status of a Bug until it is resolved, in which case it would appear in the Bug Fixes document for a release.
