I converted a Labview 8 .vi file to an exe application however when I tried to run it on a different computer that only has Labview 6, it didn't work. The error was that the .exe file is only compatible with Labview 8.
What do i need to do to convert my Labview 8 .vi files so that I can run it on the other compuber with only Labview6?
You need to have the LV8 run-time installed on any system that you want to run an executable built with LabVIEW 8. This is just like you needed to have the LabVIEW 6 run-time installed to run an executable built with that version. If you choose to create an installer when you do the build, the installer will include the correct run-time and put in on the system along with the application.
