OK, here's a quick solution that does it with linear interpolation in under 30ms. See if it works for you. 🙂
 
The secret is in the feedback node, which is allowed because the xi-array is sorted. 😉

However, what you and also other did was to made the code more efficient (something that I should also try to do!), so that it run faster. But from the LV version point of view I still don't understand the difference of execution time.

Using built in functions and more concise code will make it run faster. If you have your older code and the new one, it will be easy to compare and see why the new is running slower than the older one. But its going to be difficult otherwise. Hopefully, all the feedback in this forum has helped you figure out a code thats as good as your old one.
