Labview 7.1 and Matlab 7.4

Hi Mankind,

Thanks for answering those questions. I have just had a message from the Product Support Engineer for the MATLAB Node and he has informed me that the module is only designed for locally installed copies of MATLAB so I'm afraid the only method of resolving this issue that I can suggest is to install MATLAB locally. I'm very sorry for not being able to offer a more convenient solution for you, especially after comming this far with the issue, but I do hope that you this can be arranged with your IT Department and I wish you all the best in developing the rest of your applicaiton.

Best Regards,

Ian

Ian,

Some More news. I had more interaction with our computer centre and they have sent me an OSD file, which while opening with notepad looks something like Javascript.

When running that script, I got my Labview to communicate with the Matlab server - as he explains -

it launches the local copy of Labview within the SoftGrid environment and that would allow it to interact with Matlab.

I can send the OSD file to you. The only problem is while in the middle of the analysis, it crashes sometimes because it forces Matlab to open too.

I am in touch with computer centre to resolve the problem.

Cheers,

Mankind
