Labview 6.02 and Win2000 (performance?)

Hello,

i've trouble with an old Labview Application (6.02). It works fine using
Win98, but with Win2000 i get a VISA timeout while communicating with an
Agilent 34401a Multimeter (GPIB). It seems that the whole applicacion runs
slower with Win2000. If i set the focus to another Desktopwindow (i.e.
Explorer) the "speed" of the Labview application changes. Any ideas? PC
Hardware to slow?

Win2000 has a setting to have the OS boost foreground tasks, which also
means that it demotes background tasks. You might try the other setting
as I believe that 2000 switched the default setting.
