A company originally created a library and referenced the library in a project. The company abandons the LabVIEW project and on request gave me there projects and VI's. The library includes vi's and sub VI's pertaining to all kinds of instruments they offer. I am trying to pull out of the library the VI's or Sub VI's that pertain to the equipment without referencing the original library.
I have tried to open each one and disconnect them, saving to a new file location. I have tried deleting the VI's and Sub VI's referenced in the block diagram and saving it with broken connection. I duplicate (copy/paste) the vi to a new vi only to have the reference still exist when saved. Is there anyway to unpack the library without using the original library?
Another approach I used was to try and create an .exe with the project and then create an installer for other staff members (without LabVIEW) to use. The installer continues to look for some media that appears to be referenced somewhere in the original project? I don't have the media its looking for and the file doesn't exist with what was provided. This maybe a separate discussion or linked to the library; I am unsure?
