LabView-USRP-RADAR PULSES

Hello everyone,

i would like to create a labview program, that can transmit radar pulses from a usrp (2901). I have found some radar tools and libraries but i want to have the ability to select each time the specific PW and PRI of the pulse (apart from the carrier frequency and the power level).

If you are transmitting simple on/off pulses, an RF switch might be used to switch the carrier on or off.  Mini Circuits, for example, has RF switches with logic level control.  Any pulse output from a DAQ card could be used to set pulse width and interval.  Most function generators have a burst mode function which would also work if you have one with enough bandwidth.

If your radar pulse has internal modulation, this approach would probably not work.
