I suggest you try a full repair of LabVIEW, i have seen something like this before and that seemed to do the trick. If you go to Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel and select National Instruments Software, select LabVIEW 8.20 and click repair. It may take anything upto 20mins but give it a try.
