LabView DLL's & EXE's

How does Labview handle DLL's? Can you link in Visual C++ DLL's into a Labview project or vice versa? Is there even an actual Labview DLL?

Also, does National Instruements still get a piece of the pie for every Labview exe created? I know that a couple of years ago you had to buy exe creators. Is that still the case? Just some general info would be great so I can tell my boss. Thanks,

Grant

LabVIEW can call functions in a DLL though sometimes there are problems when an input or output parameter is a comlicated structure with data types that don't map to a LabVIEW type. The latest version of LabVIEW also has the ability to create a .dll that can be called from other languages. The .dll and .exe creation are part of the Allication Builder Toolkit that is sold separately or as part of the Professional Development package. For the most part, NI does not require a license fee for each .exe created.
