LabVIEW does not recognize CompactRIO

Hi,

I am using a CompactRIO 9053.

NI-Device Monitor recognizes it, NI-MAX also and I have downloaded software to the Crio so the connection is ok.

I want to use NI-DAQmx but cannot connect thru Labview to the Crio.

When i create an empty project i cannot add the hardware to the project.

I have tried the troubleshooting for the Crio but can't seem to get it to work.

I am using the following software:

Windows 10

LabView 2020 SP1

CompactRIO 20.5

NiDAQmx 20.1

LabVIEW Real-Time Module 2020

I have other USB-DAQ that I can connect to and use with NI-DAQmx and LabVIEW.

Thankful for any help.

Hi Henrik,

My name is Ana and I am Technical Support Engineer at NI and will be helping you with this issue of not being able to add your cRIO-9053 to your LabVIEW 2020 SP1 project in your Windows 10 machine.

I have checked the software support for the cRIO and all the SW versions (CompactRIO driver, LabVIEW, NI-DAQmx...) you have got are compatible with the device and with one another. So, that should not be a compatibility issue.

Could please follow the steps of the article that addresses the same issue or, if you have done already, let me know the outcomes?

Kind regards,

Hey,

Where you able to solve your problem? I'm facing the same problem, even though I believe that I have installed the right versions of the software and in the right order (labview + fpga module + realtime module + driver). I also went through the link you provided, but still nothing.

The versions of the software I have are the following:

- LabView 2021

- LabVIEW FPGA Module 2021

- LabVIEW Real-Time Module 2021

- NI CompactRIO Drivers 21.0

- NI DAQmx 21.0

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

Hossein

Which bitness of LabVIEW 2021?  cRIO support still does not exist for 64-bit LabVIEW, so you will need to make sure you are using 32-bit LabVIEW.

Thanks a lot @crossrulz! Installing the 32-bit LabView did the trick.
