I have used (and am using) multi-monitor cards from colorgraphics
http://www.colorgfx.com/ for up to 10 monitors per PC for LabVIEW
applications. If you experience difficulties, try various color depths. On
one app a couple years ago, it would only work at 32-bit depth.

Thanks 🙂
OK, I've found graphic cards caled "dual head" - and that's problem:
I have to display two different vis: one at first monitor and other at
second. Sould I know about any difficults or problems ?

The multi-montor cards that I have used create a vitural desktop that spans
the number of monitors supported.
for example the dual port card creates a 2048x768 desktop.
If you save each VI on this desktop where you want it postioned(ie one on
each monitor), it will come up in that same location. you could also use
the programatic setting of the panel location.

I've tried but have had trouble using the programmatic setting of the panel
location. It seems to set the location of the front panel objects and not the
front panel itself. Any help?

you have to set the attributes of the VI, not the controls of the VI. check
out the example:
examples/viserver/uicntrl.llb/ghost in the machine.vi for some relavant
code.

Hallo

I am using two monitors under WindowsME on two standard graphics card.

LabVIEW 6 and all other applications are working perfectly. One screen is
define as the the first the other as the second, upper left on primary
screen is 0,0 lower right is given by resolution, the second screen is a
continuation of the first in pixel numbering so lower right on the second is
the sum of resolution of the two screens.

The LabView functions return all this information correctly, and VIs can be
placed on the other screen by mouse draging or by setting the position
programmaticly. In fact Windows handles all this.
