LabVIEW Player Sense Remote Controller?

Is there a way for a VI that is setup for LabVIEW Player to sense if it has
been taken over remotely? I'd like to be able to disable some features like
the EXIT button when the VI is being operated remotely.

From the context of your question, it sounds like you are discussing LabVIEW 6.1's new Remote Front Panel feature rather than LabVIEW Player - just let me know if my assumption is wrong. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to programmatically detect connections to a VI via remote panels. You can still interactively view connection though via the Remote Panel Connection Manager. Your best bet is to create two VIs with different names - one for local running and the other for remote control.
