LabVIEW FPGA Compatibility with PXIe-8840

Hi,
I previously had PXIe-8880 RT with Pharlap OS and PXIe-7856R. Due to some issues with PXIe-8880, we replaced it with PXIe-8840 with Windows OS. All other PXIe modules were successfully detected in NI MAX, however FPGA is not detected, as installing LabVIEW FPGA Module was unsuccessful.

I looked into various possible reasons, and hope the issue is with windows compatibility of the LabVIEW FPGA Module as attached. My PXIe-8840 is Windows 10.
Are there any other options or possibilities to resolve this?
Thanks in advance!

Do you see the problem?

  • You can install the FPGA module without the compiler suite.
Use the compile cloud service of NI to create bitfiles on your Win10 installation.
  • Install Win7 on your RT target to provide a suported OS for your old LabVIEW installation.
  • Look at the hardware compatibility lists of NI, then upgrade to a LabVIEW version supporting both Win10 and your hardware…
(Might get complicated due to the old FPGA hardware.)
Best regards,

You'll need to install the R-Series driver in addition to the FPGA module.
