LabVIEW 8.5 Import Shared Library -- does not work

I have been using teh Import Shared Library wizard in Labview 8.2 without any problems. In Labview 8.5 the Import Shared Library wizard does not work.

At the last step, after I click next, it goes to the screen "Generation progress" and nothing happens. Instead of generating the vi it does nothing. I have to press cancel to exit the screen. I checked the Task manager and there is really nothing going on since the labview process has a CPU utilization of 0%.

Did anyone experience this problem???

Hi,

I have seen this before.  This was reported to R&D (# 4DPEIM5M) for further investigation.  It is very difficult to reproduce and seems to only affect some LabVIEW installations.  Try repairing your LabVIEW installation by going to Control Panel » Add or Remove Programs » National Instruments Software and clicking Change/Remove.  Then select NI LabVIEW 8.5 and click Repair.  This should fix the missing elements of your install and allow the Import Shared Library tool to work for you.
