LabVIEW 8.5.1 Timed Loops Crash on Computers with Four or More Cores

Hi,

I have this crashing problem on my LabVIEW 8.5 (not 8.5.1) on a quad-core PC. The 'date modified' of the patch file lvalarms.dll on my system is different to what  http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/lang/en/id/1048 mentions, (mine belongs to 24/7/2007). I am wondering if I should refresh the file lvalarms.dll on my system?

Hi Siamak,

Good Morning and I hope your well today.

Are you still having trouble with this?

If you are, have you tried booting your PC into singlecore mode from within the BIOS (if supported). If the issue is resolved then I would suggest trying to update the dll. (Make sure you keep a backup).

Have you had newever versions of LabVIEW installed since 8.5.0?

Thanks,

Kind Regards

thanks for comments, but no I haven't tried to boot up in single-core mode. instead, I replaced all timed loops with timed sequences and while loops, and it is working!
