LabVIEW 6.1 bug in WinME - NILM.EXE

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has encountered problems after installing LabVIEW
6.1 on Windows ME. I just received my subscription update and after
installing it on a Windows ME PC it has decided it wants to spawn hundreds
of copies of NILM.EXE. There appears to be no way of killing all of these
processes and after a while it obviously kills the PC. After doing a bit of
research of the directory structure it appears that NILM is something to do
with license managing. When I installed the software I didn't select
register online because the PC doesn't currently have an internet
connection. The specs for the laptop are as follows:

Toshiba Satellite 1800
Celeron 800MHz (I think) processor
Windows Millennium

Any suggestions on how I
can get around the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I just found the following solution on the NI webpage. Pays to check there
first I guess. Anyway for those interested in the solution check out the
following link.
