LV7.0 errors during installation

A couple errors came up in installing Labview 7.0. I'm running Windows XP.

1) When it came time to insert the second CD (device drivers CD), the first
CD would not eject, and somehow the installer hogged the CD drive so there
was no way Windows nor the Eject button could eject the CD. Had to restart
the computer then insert the second CD, then click Install Drivers, then
everything was OK and installation continued.

2) In the middle of the drivers installation, during the install of NI Spy,
got a nasty sounding error message that a file called something like
"cab----" was corrupt and could not be read from the CD. Was able to get
installation program to continue to install the other remaining drivers by
clicking Ignore then Continu
e. Labview 7.0 launched and ran OK, so looks
good so far. I did not try to run NI Spy, which I never use anyway.

Has anyone else had problems with the installation?

1)In the first case look like the drive was busy doing something even after the installation was complete.

2)This doesn't essentially mean that the media is corrupt. Sometime it happens if for some reason your drive can't read it properly (dirty lense). To prove this, you can copy the contents of driver CD on your hard drive and try running setup.exe from there (next time in future) and things should be ok

yes the installtion of NISpy is incomplete at this stage.
