LV6i crash with ActiveX containers

I would like to load and display a Word2000 document in an ActiveX container
on the front panel of my VI. However, I'm running into a significant
problem right out of the gate...

ANY ActiveX container that I create (using an empty container followed by
"Insert ActiveX Object..." and choosing something from the "Create Document"
list) causes LV to immediately crash upon running the VI. I can manipulate
the containers on the panel (editing, opening in their applications,
whatever), but as soon as I click Run I get the following:

"The instruction at '0x00000001' referenced memory at '0x00000001'. The
memory could not be 'read'."

Those memory addresses look suspicious to me. I know ActiveX can be a bit
of black mag
ic, and I have some experience dealing with it, but this one has
me stumped. Can anybody offer any insight?

Thanks in advance.

Justin,

Have you installed the 6.0.2 update yet?

You can obtain this from the NI website. Just follow the Software Update links.

I had the same problem, and I can confirm that downloading 6.0.2 fixed the problem.
