LV2014 with windows10

Hi,

We have Labview 2014 running on windows 7 with network published variables and now we need to add one more system to run as a client,  unfortunately we recieved a new Dell-machine with pre installed windows10 and LV2014 is not supporting. So I have installed VM windows7 and running LV2014 as client.

Is there any alternate option to make the system more reliable ?? Can I use LV2015 for running as a client?

Regards

Sandy

Go ahead and install. Nothing bad will happen.

That it's not supported just means that NI doesn't test or guarantee anything. That's understandable as supporting all old versions over all versions of windows would be very much work for little gain.

That being said, W10 is very similar to W7 and LV2014 is very similar to LV2015, so it's no problems running LV2014 on W10, i've done it on several computers and so has most of my colleagues.

If you plan on upgrading to a W10 supported version, there's no reason to not upgrade to 2019SP1. Just remember it needs a new license number, unless you have an active SSP.
