LV programming

Dear sir,

I am using LV to capture an image file (bmp or jpg). I can show it on
screen. However, I don't know how to covert two image files so that I can
do mathermatical comparison.

I need to compare two capture images (one template and one sample) and
output a signal if they are different. [e.g. An surface mount IC is compare
with an IC rotates 90 degree (mis-positioning) and output a failed signal].

I can only use LV because I don't have any frame grabber or IMAQ. Pls
advise if this is possible.
