I got this message today after my computer crashed. I'm trying to open a VI, and there is no recovery option. Am I out of luck or is there some method of recovering it?

Hi Speaks,

is there some method of recovering it?

Yes, sure!

Get the VI from your backup drive.

Or even better: check out an older version of this VI from your source code control repository!

Or to put it in other words:

Get used to create backups. Not just for LabVIEW VIs, but for all important data you don't want to lose.

For source code you should use some SCC software, like SVN or GIT…

Best regards,
GerdW

So then the answer is no, I'm as screwed as I am stupid. Thank you for making that so clear.
