As Chris said your code is fare from being bad for a beginner, no doubt that if you keep working this way you'll learn fast and have even more fun wiring your apps.
As I suspected in my first post, you will be asked to add functions as time goes by, that is the best reason to learn more about soft architecture, I suggest you try to play with Design Patterns, they will automatically lead you to developp modular functions.
