Is there a windows based beep.vi?

Although this VI appears on all LabVIEW platforms, the frequency, duration, and intensity parameters work only on the Macintosh. I need these to work in Windows.

You have to use WAV files AFAIK. *why* the beep function doesn't have the
functionality I don't know, since I've seen programs under Windows that can
go to the internal speaker and play little tunes, but NI decided simply to
call the system function that makes the default "bleep".

WAV file access is under the "Sound and Graphics" sub-palette.

Hallo Jade,

You can use the system function within kernel32.dll. I tried it with
WinNT and W2k and it worked fine. If you are not familiar with it, send
me a mail.
