Is there a LabVIEW driver for the VICON series balances from Acculab? Has anyone had any luck converting the Sartorius driver for use with VICON balances?

I desperately need LabVIEW drivers for the VICON series balances from Acculab.

I think Acculab is part of the Sartorius Group and their balances seems have the same menu structure and command list for serial communication as the Sartorius models.  However, I tried the Sartorius driver from NI.com\IDNet with a Acculab VICON balance and it didn't work.  It reports a VISA time-out.  Curiously, if I set LabVIEW to run under highlight execution mode, the balance can actually talk with LabVIEW fine.  So I am hopeful with some minor changes, the Sartorius driver may work with Acculab balances.  Any ideas from anyone?

When it works in execution highlighting mode, that is typically a clue that a (or more) delay is needed after the write command before a response is read back. Typically a couple or few hundred milliseconds is more than adequate.
