Hi Guys
On my PC I got a serial input working great with a previous VI(made by somebody else). But the first VI I made here:
http://sites.google.com/site/oraclemechanics/file
shows error:
Error -1073807343 occurred at Property Node (arg 1) in acm2d ins assitant pure.vi:Instance:0->acm2d ins assitant pure.vi
Possible reason(s):
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0011) Insufficient location information or the device or resource is not present in the system.
The serial port in my PC should be ok because a previous VI is working fine with a sensor's serial data input.
Can't figure out what is wrong. Please help. Advance thanks.

Please attach your VI to your message. Don't post it on some 3rd party website.
Also your screenshots did not come through because they are located on your hard drive. We don't have network access to that location.
Are you sure you have a COM1 port installed on your PC?
I opened up your VI on my PC and saw no error messages.

That didn't solve the problem. It just hid it.
I would recommend that you make a backup copy of your VI. Then right click on the Instrument Asst. Express VI and click Open Front Panel. That makes a subVI out of the Express VI. Now you can open it up and see how it works. Put some probes on the various error wires and see which of those property nodes is causing the error when you run your main VI.
