Insane Object errors

I'm suddenly getting a lot of insane object errors on my program, I've tried everything listed in the Knowledgebase topic. They're only wire and sgnl graphical errors, but they aren't resolving themselves. When I change constants in the program, more insane objects pop up.
It's a little bit frightening, please help.

Hi Capuchin,

As you probably are aware from reading through that KB, insane objects mean your VI has become corrupt and you may need to rewrite your code.

I have some debugging tools I can use to try and debug this for you. Could you post your code please?

I also have the email you sent to UKSupport so I can contact you directly by email if you would prefer.

Kind regards,
Sarah

Hi Sarah, thanks for the reply, that would be most useful if you could do this for me.

If you can contact by email, that would be the easiest for me to deal with. I'll send the vi as an attachment when you contact me?

Thanks for your help.

In case other users are interested, opening this VI in 8.20 then saving it back to the previous version resolved the insane errors. I also did a Save As... on another copy and that seems to have worked also.

A further update on this. When the VI is opened in LabVIEW 8.20 the insane errors are no longer present but saving it back to version 8.0 reintroduces the errors.

Just to close this thread: The errors were finally eliminated by rebuilding the VI from scratch!
Whenever parts were copied (via copy paste) from the original VI into a new one, the errors were still present!

Note to self: back up VIs in future...
