Initialization Routine Failed

Solved!
Go to solution

The error message is attached below.

We are attempting to open a VI from Labview 7.1 in Labview 9. We downloaded the Traditional DAQ 7.4.4 and installed it.

We still get the below error after uninstalling and reinstalling the DAQ.

Next potential step: Revert back to Labview 8 in order to use this VI.

Any advice?

Thank you for the link, however I have a question about it.

The VI in question has a fair number of files, (llb) and (dll) that it is supposed to access, and a number of other executables (that it is currently having trouble running).

Would I need to post all of these for conversion, or would I just post the primary VI, and the conversion process will take care of the rest?

I'm not sure how the process works, so I thought it would be good to ask.

I have been informed that upconverting will not help. The problem persists.

Solved. Stepping up from 7.1 to 8.0 to 9.0 worked.
