Including Mathlab in Executable

Hi,

I am standing infront of a problem creating an executable with a mathscript calling a Matlab function. The whole program runs fine but it won't call the extern matlab function.  Also the matlab function needs to be an extern file so it is editable.
Maybe someone else had the same problem, has figured it out Smiley Tongue and can help me out on this one.

Thanks in advance

Hi ofahed,

i think the following link helps you to solve the problem.
Why Does My Executable Hang When It Is Opened When I Use A MATLAB® Script Node?

Thanks for your reply.

My whole code works fine in the developer mode just not when i compile it to an executable Smiley Surprised. I assume the main reason is, that I am calling from the Mathscript a external function (.m file). Or if it does work calling Matscript a external .m file from the LabView Executable I am doing obviously something wrong Smiley Wink
I am working with LabView 8.2 and I read from one of this forums

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=MathScript&message.id=3

so I hoped it was solved in 8.2 since it didn't work in 8.0 but it sure doesn't work for me yet 😉

cheers
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
LabVIEW 8.2 supports MathScript Nodes in stand-alone applications.
If you doesn t have a matlab license the following link will help you:
How to use matlab codes in a stand alone application without matlab license?

Would you be good enough to post your project or VI so I will have a look at this.

Best regards
