Import transparent picture

Why can I not import an gif picture as background in my frontpanel? it
works fine with an bmp picture! - but I need an picture with transparent
background - what shall I do ?

Previous versions of LV supported metafiles and various bitmap formats
for image importing. None of the bitmap formats allow for the image to
specify a transparent color or a mask. LV6.1 adds the importing of GIFs
and PNGs.

I've used meta files to import images with transparent backgrounds in LV 6.02 with no problems.
