Import shared library

Hallo,

I'm trying to import a .dll with the wizard in LabVIEW 8.5.

I'm doing the following:

1. Selecting the .dll and the according .h file. Click "Next"
2. Don't use any includes and defines. Click "Next"
3. "parsing header file..." appears for 2 sec. It dissapears and nothing
happens. No output, no action, no error messages.

Any ideas?

Hi Olivier,

This is actually a known issue that occurs when the Report Generation Toolkit is installed.  You can find additional information here.  This has been fixed as of LV 8.6.

I'm having the same problem and I have uninstalled the Report Generation Toolkit.

The problem you refer to is different in that the known issue is the wizard hanging with the Next button is greyed out.

What I get & what is reported in this thread is the wizard pops up the message saying it is doing something, then closes 2 seconds later having done nothing.

The Next button is available, but if clicked, all that does is repeat the same 2 second popup!

Upgrading from 8.5.1 to 8.6 is not an option.

Is there a workaround?
