Import Image Method results in Error 1073

On a single page of a tab control I can use the method 'Import Image', which should import the actual image of the clipboard.
I get Error 1073 ( This property is writable only when the VI is in edit mode, or this method is available only when the VI is in edit mode).

How should it be possible to run a method when the VI is in edit mode??

Is there another possibility to import a picture from the clipboard into LabVIEW at runtime?

I didn't find an answer then, but the project is over and I didn't use this function...
