We appreciate your patience as we improve our online experience.
has anyone build a VI Network Analyzer using a Smith Chart to measure the impedance. Currently we use a HP8712B, 300-1300MHz Network Analyzer. Operating frequency range is 9 to 20MHz. We use Labview 6 and Notebook, the DAQ board must be PXI based (field use)
Any Hardware/Software recommendation and/or advice would be appreciated.
Are you currently using a LabVIEW Instrument Driver with the HP8712B, or are you looking to use National Instruments DAQ hardware with LabVIEW to perform Network Analysis? I have attached an example to this message that shipped with older versions of LabVIEW...it uses DAQ VIs in LabVIEW to perform network analysis. I believe this example is geared to be used with National Instruments DSA devices. You can visit www.ni.com/dsa for more information about our Dynamic Signal Acquisition devices.
I hope this information helps. Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Darren Nattinger Applications Engineer National Instruments
