Hello,

Do you have error checking enabled in your code? If so what's the error code and string?
Try running the Snap and Save an Image to File Using Only NI-IMAQ example. I just tried and it seems to work fine.

Hi,
thanks for your reply. the error code is -1074396080 and the string is as follows
'IMAQ WriteJPEGFile
Invalid image type.'
the 'winddraw' function does display the image correctly though. i am at a loss!!
thanx

Hello,

IMAQ Write JPEG File.vi only supports 8bit and RGB (32bit color) images. If your image is not one of these you can't save it as a JPEG file. In that case you'll need to save it as a PNG or TIFF file.
