IMAQ FPGA Histogram VI

I am writing an FPGA image processing application that is going to run on the NI PCIe-1473R card.

However, the "IMAQ FPGA Histogram VI" of the NI Vision Development Module FPGA 2017 really confuses me.

The output of this function is a fixed-point number and it is always zero no matter what images I send to it. Has anyone ever used this function? I would really appreciate it if there is an example of it.

What is the value out of this fonction on the FPGA?
