I would like to monitor an analog input channel and a counter using a PCI 6071E board

I am working with Labview (6.1 & 7) under Windows XP. On my computer is installed a PCI 6071E board. I need an application/VI that samples an analog input channel and also monitors one counter input (the counter will be used close to its' limit ~=15.000.000). The sample rate is not needed to be to high. IF possible will be nice to record both values acquired.

There are numerous examples that ship with LabVIEW. If you want use LabVEWI 6.1 compatible functions, use traditional DAQ and look at the Analog Input>General (LV 7 Example Finder) and Counters>DAQ-STC.

As I see it, also in LAbview 6.1 and in 7.1 the examples permit to monitor the counter readings. What I need is a little different: I want to read an AI channel and the counter without any relation between them; to work as I would if I would have to read to AI channels.
