I need advice to decide if I accept taking a project or not

I agree with Mike, this sounds like an excellent opportunity and a fun project. Optimally you should get it on a running account (or what the term is in english), else be clear that a time estimate is hard to give and you might need more. Also signal and ask for more time as soon you notice it instead of waiting until it runs out.

It sounds to me like 2 months should be enough, but then i'm a terrible optimist when estimating time ...

Heck, what fun is a project when you already know everything? 😉

I think the term you are looking for is "time and material".

I do this frequently, that's how I learn. Everyone takes a job at some point, that they don't feel qualified taking. I haven't turned-down a job yet. By the sounds of it, you probably have the intelligence to know where to get the help if needed, right? Having a resource like this forum, will help you do it however, if a job looks to me like it will take 1 month for example, I add two weeks. If they rush me from the beginning, that my instincts tell me I can't do, I don't take it. I would hate to see you not take a job because of fear. Just make up in your mind that you can do it and will give it as much time as it takes up-front. You won't get better learning opportunities than this.
