I have some problem about directX, When I play avi on labview

Hi there

I want to play avi file on my lv, when I play that unfortunately following error occurred  "IMAQ Vision:  (Hex 0xBFF60497) An internal DirectX error has occurred.  Try upgrading to the latest version of DirectX."  but I have lnstalled latest version of DirectX.

Do you know what the problem is?

Hi JSun,

Does this happen with all AVI Files or with a special one? If it's just one, is this AVI encoded?

With other words, does the Read AVI Example.vi work?

Thanks,

Christian

Hey,

I'm sorry, but I dont' understand your last post.

Are you able to run the AVI Example? (YES/NO)

Do you see this problem only with a certain AVI File? (YES/NO)

Thanks,

Christian

Hey,

But this other video files are also .avi?

Are you able to play them with e.g. Windows Media Player?

Thanks,

Christian

Please ignore my latest post, I was seconds to late to edit it. Smiley Sad

Anyhow, my guess would be that you have compressed AVIs where we are not able to read them.

Most popular mediaplayers like Windows Mediaplayer, VLC, Quicktime. Also have an ActiveX variant that you can use in Labview. You may test this and see if it solve your problem.

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)
