Hyperterminal style VI

I'm doing some ethernet testing and would like to do a Hyperterminal like application on LabView.  I was wondering if anyone knew of any that had been done already or how I could start looking at this problem.

This one is COM is there a sample of one over ethernet or is that even possible.

You mean you want to do a Telnet application? NI sells a Internet Toolkit. This includes telnet functions and comes with an example.
