Here is a way to do it if you really want to use queus. I changed a lot in vi to many things to list just have a look. here is a copy in version 7.1. what version of LV are you using.
I have also included a way to do this without queue

I'm being a little picky here, but since Joe Hoskins is a Tennessee Volunteer and I'm an LSU Tiger, I feel compelled to show him up. ![]()
If the producer loop ever has an error, the consumer loop will keep running until the stop button is pressed. One should put in an error check as shown in the attached vi. If the producer loop develops an error and ends, and the queue is closed, the consumer loop will produce an error when trying to read from a closed queue and it will stop automatically as well.
