What have you done so far? You need to show us your code.
Your example is not correct.
mid("HelloWorld",5,2);
The 5th character is o and you should get "oW" from "HelloWorld".
If you want to go back in the string, then the 2 should be a -2.
That should give you a "lo" ( "HelloWorld" ).

you have to play with the indexes obiously, atm start=0 and end=0 will result in one character
on another note: you are clearly a novice with labview -- try read the documentation, use the help, the quick-drop, and search before posting .. google definately would have had an answer for you

The Fallowing Vi is not working for me, couild you please tell how to make it.
But if i interchange 2 and 5 its works fine.
How to make it wokr without interchanging.

first: you took the example that someone two post later said not being "correct"
second: why do you have DBLs and not Numeric Contants???
third: have you read any documentation/help regarding either the datatypes or the substring-vi you are using?
fourth: post you pseudo-c-code for what you want to do, i suppose you have no idea 😞

Why are you trying to make things so complicated? You only need a single String Subset. It has 2 inputs for index of start and the length. Just use both.
