How to split 1 channel waveform to 2 different waveform for analysis

Hi, im very new to labview and im just thinking how do i actually split a single waveform into 2 different waveform for analysis. for instance,for the attach image, i only want to take the compression zone while removing other image.

Secondly. how do i actually use labview to count the number of peak that exceed a certain level of voltage using labview. so for instance any peak that is below the voltage level is actually ignored.
