How to simulate a mouse click on a defined screen position?

Hello,

my question is how I can simulate a mouse click on a defined screen position. I have seen, that this or similar questions have already been posted in this forum. For me as an absolute novice in LabView most of the suggestions are very difficult to understand. The only thing I found as a first step to solve my problem is the attached vi which I found in the example code library. Unfortunately, this solely sets the mouse cursor to the defined position. Is there an easy way to execute a mouse-click? Does there exist an example vi?

I would be very grateful for your help!

Thanks alot in advance,

Ulrich

P.S.: I use Windows XP and LabView 8.2

Have you already read this info ? The attached VI is a good starting point. Depending on the resolution of your screen, you will need to adjust the position to move the cursor over the OK button.

JB,

could you post the VI in the KB article for LV8.0?  I would greatly appreciate it.

Why do you want to simulate a mouse click?  Sometimes there is a different path for the solution to the problem.  If you are trying to fire a mouse click event on a specific event you can add a user event with the same signature and programmatically fire this event.
