That's fine old threads help solve old problems that are new to someone new. The accepted solution involved a reference and a to more specific class function, which took me quite a bit longer to put together and find the right sub class than to just add a property node and select link to. The array selection has a sub-selection that allows a property node directly to the element. Hope this helps someone.
