How to know how many com port in PC

This might help you on the way.  If you scroll down the page, you will see that the VISA Resource control already contains all the possible items which can be used without any programming 😉

that's a different presentation for COM port.

Have you tried just putting a VISA resource control on your front panel?  As shown half way the document?
