It depends a bit on what functionality you use in the application.

The files you generally need to include in the same folder as the application are the ones in the National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\ folder...The absolute minimum is to include lvapp.rsc and lvrt.dll.

If you use e.g. VISA in your application there is no simple file you can include, you have to make the installer available and instruct the users to install it on their machine. This is why we still use the old serpdrv based serial VIs in our applications even though NI has removed them in LV7...(then you just need to include the serpdrv file).

Hi,
as far as I know its impossible to run LV exe file without LabVIEW runtime version installed on PC.
So there are 2 solutions:
1. Your users must install runtime version of LabVIEW on their PCs, and then they will be able to run any kind of your exe files. They could download this setup file from NI site, or you can send it them.

2. You can make an installer for all of your exe files and include LabVIEW runtime in this installer. Now users get your installer, run it and your program together with LabVIEW runtime will be installed on their PCs. To include LabVIEW runtime to your installer go to the shortcut "Installer settings" of "Application Builder", click on the "Advanced..." button and check the "Install LabVIEW Run-time engine" checkbox.

Good luck.

No need to do a full install, including files in the same directory is as described in my answer a solution as long as you are not using any other functions that really requires a full install...like VISA.

Thanks Mads for your valuable suggestion. I hope I'll use only minimum functionality.
